about

I went to college in Kansas. As you may imagine, It can be quite windy. There was one day near the end of my college career that I was going through a lot of struggles, fighting to keep addictions in the past and push on to finish the race of which Christ called me heavenward (Phil. 3:12-14). That day in particular, it was extremely windy, and I noticed that it kept pushing me and whatever I was holding. God used that as a moment to teach me, and I realized that my addictions had come back because I was trying to make my stand against them, when it's not about doing anything on my own strength. It was in that moment, I picked up my guitar and wrote down my prayer:

"God push me with the wind, that I may never stand my ground, that I may feel your warm embrace and finally reach the place of perfection You call me to. The Temple Mount was the place where only the highest priests could enter, and through You, I have access to my own Temple Mount. I'm tired of my fears controlling me and I want my sins to stay in the baptismal where I left them."

lyrics

God, push me with the wind
That I may never stand my ground
That I may feel Your warm embrace
And finally reach the Temple Mount

Then I can cast away my fears
And finally leave my sins to drown
God, push me with the wind
And lead me to where I will be found

I don't wanna be the same
That I was yesterday
I'm tryna keep pushing forward

Tryna make it on my own
Then I wonder where did I go wrong
Now, I'm running out of strength

So Father, lead me to where I don't understand
I'm not sure if I know which way to go
But, even if I do not like the change of plans
I'm tired of tryna make this work alone

God, push me with the wind
That I may never stand my ground
That I may feel Your warm embrace
And finally reach the Temple Mount

Then I can cast away my fears
And finally leave my sins to drown
God, push me with the wind
And lead me to where I will be found

I don't wanna be the same
That I was today
'Cause I know I broke Your heart

Tryna make it on my own
Then I wonder where did I go wrong?
I should have listened from the start

So Father, lead me to what I don't understand
I'm not sure if I know which way to go
But, even if I do not like the change of plans
I'm tired of tryna make it work alone

God, push me with the wind
That I may never stand my ground
That I may feel Your warm embrace
And finally reach the Temple Mount

Then I can cast away my fears
And finally leave my sins to drown
God, push me with the wind
And lead me to where I will be found

I hope You know what You're doing
'Cause through You I can do this
I'll get through this, I know I'm not alone

I hope You know what You're doing
'Cause through You I can do this
I'll get through this, I know I'm not alone

I hope You know what You're doing
'Cause through You I can do this
I'll get through this, I know I'm not alone

God, push me with the wind
That I may never stand my ground
Then I can feel Your warm embrace
And finally reach the Temple Mount

Then I can cast away my fears
And finally leave my sins to drown
God, push me with the wind
And lead me to where I will be found
